About Mentors

Mentors are vetted before they are enrolled. Some mentors are pastors, priests, Church leaders and Christians in non-leadership position. The common denominator between them is that they are regularly led by God and know the different ways in which God communicates with believers. They use their wealth of experience to mentor someone who is not yet led by the Holy Spirit.

Students who complete the DGC will be enrolled as mentors, so that they can also help mentor other believers. The more mentors and students we have, the more Romans 8:14 is fulfilled.

Ethical conduct in mentoring

There are strict ethical rules on the DGC. Mentors and mentees should behave in a moral, gentle and orderly manner. Mentors are not allowed to coerce mentees to switch
denominations. Marriage proposals are not allowed. Exchange of gifts are not allowed.

Physical interaction is highly discouraged: in most cases the mentor and mentee will be in different countries. Electronic communication is preferred. Mentees should report any unethical behaviour by a mentor.

Any mentor who behaves unethically will be removed from the programme and their mentees will be transferred to someone else.
